Healing Rooms Ministry Explained by the Founder of IAHR - Cal Pierce

The Healing Rooms follows a "listen and pray" model. We listen to the Holy Spirit, for the person receiving prayer. Prayer teams consist of 2 or 3 people who first listen to the Holy Spirit for direction. Then the person receiving prayer shares with the team what they are seeking God for. Then the team prays for the persons needs, and anything else the Lord has prompted them to pray for. This is a safe, tried and true model, that always follows the Word of God, the Truth of God, and the Love of God.

Who Prays?

Our Healing Rooms team consists of Christians from more than forty churches in the San Diego region. The Healing Rooms are full of the love of God and His presence to heal spiritually, emotionally, and physically through loving, gifted and committed servants of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Before a person is allowed to become a technician they must go through an intensive healing room training process, have a signed release form from their pastor, and go through an interview process with the local Directors of the healing room. To complete their training each person commits to serving in a Healing Room of their choice while being observed and encouraged by Healing Rooms trainers.

A family atmosphere of love and unity permeates the Healing Rooms, even though our home Churches are as diverse as Assembly of God, Baptist, Foursquare, Nazarene, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Vineyard, and various independent fellowships.

Why this Model?

We have found that as we pray for people in unity, with small groups of two or three, and as we listen for the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, that the Holy Spirit leads us and flows through us for the one receiving prayer! Day after day God reveals Himself to His people through specific words of knowledge that only He knows!

Lastly, we have found that there is only one "super-star" on our teams: Jesus! He is the head and we are the body. In this way we all can do the work of the ministry.
